Examining the cultural situation of 2000 years ago strongly suggests Spica was the Bethlehem Star. This hypothesis is faced with the calculated astronomical observations as they should have been observed at Zabol, Iran. Extensive use has been made of the freeware SkyMap-Pro8. A computational model is created for calculating the influence of various parameters such as meteorological conditions and the skyline of the supposed observation spot.
